Some tour operators will stop at a special spot along the river where they feed the eagles, found in great numbers here.
These include the white-bellied fish eagle, brahminy kite and the gigantic sea eagles.
Kilim River is also a great place for some birdwatching during the migratory seasons in September and March.

Galeri Perdana
The Galeria Perdana is a brilliant gallery located at Kilim, about 11km from Kuah Town, in Langkawi.
This gallery extends in 3 double-storey interconnected buildings.
It showcases a remarkable collection of more than 2500 souvenirs, awards and gifts, which were received by the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, and his wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, from the world leaders during his tenure.
One prominent feature that one mustn't miss is the ceiling, which is festooned with handmade paintings.
In short & snappy terms, Galeria Perdana is a nice place to see and admire the rare assortment of gifts and awards, in Langkawi.

Dataran Lang (Eagle Square)
The Dataran Lang, literally the Eagle Square, is the very first landmark that comes across the sight of visitors, arriving by ferry, to Langkawi.
Located next to Lagenda Park near Kuah Jetty, the square boasts of a wonderful statue of a reddish brown eagle all geared for a flight.
The eagle, with its huge brown wings, is perched on a massive rock, looking afar at the vast Andaman Sea.
Being in Langkawi, the land of numerous legends and mysteries, this massive eagle also has a story attached to its presence.
As per the local folklores, the name Langkawi is derived from two different words 'Lang' or 'Helang' (meaning eagle) and 'Kawi' (meaning reddish brown).
For this reason, Langkawi means reddish brown eagle, and the island is marked by its presence.

Cenang Beach
The most popular beach in Langkawi is carpeted by fine, white grains of sand that doesn't stick to you – this is the hallmark of a good beach.
Delightful coconut trees and elegant casuarinas line the 2 km (1.2 miles) stretch of sand with resorts and chalets mushrooming in between.

Cable Car
Langkawi Cable Car can be considered as one of the most contemporary and new attraction in the magical island.
The cable car will bring you to the hill of Mount Mat Chinchang – letting you to grasp the magnificent and breathtaking view of the whole island, and at the same time, make you fall in love deeply with the beauty of Langkawi.
Visitors will reach the first viewing station after an approximate 10-minute ride.
The viewing station is divided into 2 huge platforms in round shape, giving you a 360° view of the whole island.
Standing at 652.5 meters above sea level at the first station, the beautiful view that lies in front of your eyes will make you speechless.
The sea in shades of baby blue and light turquoise, surrounding by lush forest in rich green seems inseparable with the skies, making it the perfect place to take beautiful portrait-like picture.
Visitors can stay as long as they wish and take their time to truly enjoy the magnificent view.
From the first viewing station, you can still continue your ride to the second viewing station which is located at the hill of Mount Mat Chinchang.
The ride between these 2 stations takes merely 5 minutes.
At the top of the hill, approximately 700 meters above sea level, you will find that the weather is fresher with chilling wind gently blowing.
